What's New at the University Center

The University Center, Santa Clarita Valley is pleased to announce the addition of 3 new programs from 2 new partners. The University Center is excited to welcome the Art Institute of California, Los Angeles. They will offer a B.S. in Interior Design beginning January 2006. The University Center is also pleased to welcome National University. National University will begin bachelor degree programs in Nursing and Allied Health in Spring 2006. Information Meetings will be scheduled for all new programs. Dates will be posted on our website as they are scheduled.

Informational meetings will be held at the University Center for prospective students wishing to pursue a Special Education Credential through California State University Bakersfield. The meetings for the much anticipated program will be conducted by California State University Bakersfield (CSUB) and will focus on the admission requirements, prerequisites, and scheduling of the program which is slated to begin in January 2006.  For more information about the Special Education Credential program, visit the CSUB web site at www.csub.edu/regional/sped.html.

ELS offers an intensive language institute for English as a second language students.  Students who attend the Intensive Program and complete Level 109 fulfill College of the Canyons English requirement in lieu of the TOEFL.  ELS Language Center students who meet College of the Canyons normal academic requirements can receive a Conditional Letter of Acceptance.
